Not-So-Big Boy

Gabey-Landon had his 6 month check-up yesterday. The appointment was two weeks after his 6-month birthday because they neglected to actually save me a space with the doctor on the day that was originally set up for his appointment. No harm, no foul.
As always, my boy got glowing reports in development and looks. The doctor declared him "just so cute." Duh. He was impressed with Gabey's mad walking skills (he takes steps while holding onto fingers).
Unfortunately we had a bit of a weight crisis. Gabriel is 12 lbs. 14 oz which landed him in the 0 percentile for weight. He's smaller than Zach was at his 4 month check-up, although the same height Zach was at his 6 month. He's a bean pole. I am also a subject of scrutiny for being nearly 10 lbs. underweight.
The doctor said he's not terribly concerned, but he's unaccustomed to mother's complaining about losing weight after childbirth. He wants me to visit my doctor and to try to start weening Gabriel. We also have to bring Gabey back in next month to get weighed again. Poor, skinny little bugger. I don't get it; the child eats like a horse. He eats two jars of level 2 baby food and a whole bowl of rice cereal every day along with nursing every 2 1/2 hours like a clock.

Can't write anymore; have to go stuff two mouths full of food.

aww poor little boys! I'm sure it's just as hard to safely gain weight as it is to lose it...
